Our Volunteer Day is next month and we can't contain our excitement. The annual event which is part of our award-winning Marks of Kindness program is the one day of the year - aside from the April Tax Deadline - that our staff looks forward to the most. The firm shuts down for the entire day and we head out to Kansas City Nonprofits and roll-up our sleeves and get to work. No task is too big or too small. Staff members perform yard work, painting and other building maintenance, install signs, build barbecue pads, make hygiene kits, blankets, play with kids and the list goes on and on. At the end of the day everyone is hot, sweaty and smiling from ear-to-ear.

Junior Achievement’s mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. The organization focuses on bringing business back to the classroom by providing programs to promote financial literacy, inspire entrepreneurship, and prepare students (K-12) for success in a 21st century work place.
Cornerstones of Care – Gillis School focuses on designing and delivering programs that improve the lives of more than 10,000 children and families each year through traditional social welfare and behavioral healthcare services.
Habitat Restore helps families in Kansas City, and the surrounding counties, build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
Heartland Therapeutic Riding’s mission is to serve children and adults with disabilities and to improve quality of life through equine-assisted activities and therapies.
Alphapointe is the region’s leader for vision rehabilitation, education and advocacy for anyone experiencing vision loss. They offer a summer camp that provides opportunities to youth with vision loss to use their imagination and creativity.
KC Rescue Mission is a community offering freedom and hope to the poor and homeless, empowering them to reach their full potential.
Operation Breakthrough provides a safe, loving, and educational environment for children in poverty and empowers their families through advocacy, emergency aid, and education.
American Cancer Society’s mission to free the world from cancer. Until they do, they are funding and conducting research, sharing expert information, supporting patients, and spreading the word about prevention. All so you can live longer – and better.
Sleepyhead Beds takes gently-used, donated beds and bedding and distributes them to Kansas City area children and families in need, free of charge.
Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City inspires kids to live out their dreams by providing affordable, accessible opportunities in the urban core.
City Union Mission is a ministry committed to meeting the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of men, women, and children who are poor or homeless.
Sherwood Autism Center’s mission is to empower children and adults with autism and related disabilities to maximize their potential in family and community life. They provide Special Education Services and Adult Services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilities.
Hope Faith Ministries works to alleviate homelessness and poverty in Kansas City, Missouri by providing basic necessities and assistance, as well as, providing critical services and programs to empower individuals experiencing homelessness and at-risk individuals to become self-sufficient and independent.
