NEWS RELEASE: MarksNelson Selects New Marketing Director

November 21, 2013

Firm Looks To Elevate Marketing Program With New Direction And Experienced Leadership

MarksNelson, Kansas City’s largest locally-owned accounting firm, welcomes Amy Hoppenrath as the firm’s marketing director. Prior to joining the firm, Hoppenrath owned and managed a marketing and business development consulting firm which specialized in professional services.

As Marketing Director, Hoppenrath will lead the firm’s growth and development and implementation of strategic marketing services through awareness-building and lead generation to impact bottom-line success. Managing Member Mark Radetic said Hoppenrath’s depth of experience in the accounting, law and consulting industries brings strategy and insight to improve and accomplish the firm’s overall marketing and business development goals.

“Amy’s experience running her own firm along with her extensive understanding of marketing brings another level of strategy to MarksNelson and allows us to improve our overall marketing and business development goals,” Radetic said. “We’re excited to have her leadership and direction over our marketing program.”

Hoppenrath isn’t new to the accounting industry. For more than five years she worked as the Midwest Region Director of Strategic Marketing at CBIZ and also spent time at Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C. as the National Director of Marketing and Growth. She said she hit the ground running with the MarksNelson team since she’s provided strategic guidance to the firm for years.

“Having worked with MarksNelson as a consultant in the past, I’m quickly integrating into the firm’s culture and providing strategy and leadership toward achieving our firm’s business goals,” Hoppenrath said.

Hoppenrath is actively involved in the community as a member of the Central Exchange, past president of the American Marketing Association (Kansas City Chapter) and past program chair and member of the board of directors for the National Association of Women Business Owners. With her involvement in the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurions Program, she was awarded the Centurion of the Year and Community Service Award. She currently volunteers as a USA Swimming official and is an at-large delegate for the organization, as well as chair for the Women in Officiating National Task Force and is chair and on the board of directors for the Missouri Valley Officials.  She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Journalism from The University of Kansas.
