The firm's annual Wrapped in Warmth campaign is gearing up for another great year!
Wrapped in Warmth, which is part of the firm's Marks of Kindness program, began in the fall of 2016 after employees participated in a local coat drive. We quickly realized Kansas City did not have a collection focused solely on hats, scarves, and gloves. Within two weeks we gathered 500 items and tied them to light poles and trees around Washington Square Park and the Downtown Library Branch in Kansas City.
In 2018, thanks to the support of several clients and community partners, more than 2,5oo items were given to those in need and expanded to ten locations.
Want to join us for Wrapped in Warmth 2019? We're collecting the following items:
- New or gently used hats, scarves & gloves
- Hand-knitted hats, scarves & gloves
- Winter headbands
- Handwarmers / Sockwarmers
You can drop the items off at our office through December 5th. MarksNelson 1310 East 104th Street, Kansas City, MO 64131
Or if you prefer, you can donate to our MarksNelson Marks of Kindness Foundation (managed by the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation). Proceeds raised during the Wrapped in Warmth campaign will go to Kansas City Nonprofits who support the homeless.
